Studie možností zvýšení retence vody v povodí toku Červenka
Valchářová, Pavlína
The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of increasing water retention in the Červenka stream basin. The literary research describes the issue of water in the forest landscape, what all has an effect on runoff and what are the ways to improve the retention capacity of the landscape. Furthermore, the natural conditions of the location are analyzed - geomorphology, geology and pedology, climate, hydrology, vegetation and fauna, and anthropogenic influences. On the basis of a field investigation, the current state of the water course, including all objects, is described. The forest road network and forest stands are evaluated. The study is based both on the informational characteristics of the area and on field research. The created design with the possibilities of water retention in the Červenka stream focuses on increasing the waterlogged site as a potential place for building ponds. But also on the forest road network, where the risk of water erosion is high and it is necessary to learn how to manage water better

Cathegorization of small ponds in the PLA Broumovsko
Mňuková, Veronika ; Tátosová, Jolana (advisor) ; Černý, Martin (referee)
This bachelor thesis is about small artificial ponds and their value in landscape. It characterizes their basic features, colonization rate, role the play in maintaining biodiversity and their significance for nature conservation. In the practical part of my thesis, I am focusing on small ponds in CHKO Broumovsko and analyzing them in context with their possible colonization. The main aspects that I take into consideration, are their spatial distribution, age, biotopes in which they are situated, their relation to streams and terrain in their surroundings. The result of my work is cathegorization of the ponds, which reflects these characteristics and defines groups of potentially similar and different ponds. Hypothesis that emerged from this cathegorization will be further used in biodiversity research within my subsequent master thesis. Key words: small ponds, biodiversity, colonization, mapping, cathegorization
Factors affecting dragonfly species composition in newly created pools and assessment of invertebrate predation on pools zooplankton
Dobiáš, Jakub ; Černý, Martin (advisor) ; Harabiš, Filip (referee)
To identify and quantify the influence of physico-chemical, biotic and geographic factors on the population of dragonflies (Odonata) is an essential tool for research of their ecology. The aim of this study was to 1) assess how these factors influence species richness, diversity and spatial distribution of dragonflies in 42 newly constructed or renewed pools located in the Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area, which is characterized by two valleys of Liběchovka and Pšovka creeks, low human impact, and a great diversity of small water bodies and 2) use laboratory experiments in order to estimate the relationship between large predatory invertebrates of these pools (Aeshna cyanea, Coenagrion puella, Chaoborus crystallinus and Notonecta glauca) and their common prey (Daphnia curvirostris) in an artificial environment with or without aquatic macrophytes. The pools were monitored and sampled between years 2005 and 2006. In total, 23 dragonflies species were found inhabiting these lentic habitats, comprising 11 species belonging to the suborder Zygoptera and 12 species belonging to the suborder Anisoptera, including a rare species Sympetrum depressiusculum (larvae). Most variability in the dragonfly species richness was explained by the size of the water surface area, followed by the location of the pools (inside...

Metacommunities of the copepods, molluscs and ostracods in Kokořínsko pools on the longterm gradient
Tichá, Adéla ; Juračka, Petr Jan (advisor) ; Šorfová, Vanda (referee)
Re-creation and building new small freshwater habitats belong among the important management activities within the Protected Landscape Area Kokořínsko - Máchův kraj (Czech Republic) for almost two decades. These pools keep the water within the landscape and serve as the habitats for vulnerable species of amphibians and invertebrates, which I have studied within this thesis. Most studies focusing on studying metacommunities of small water bodies have been based on the data from one or two seasons, and thus completely neglect the development of composition of these metacommunities over longer periods of time. This thesis builds on previous research on the species composition of small ponds in the Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area, which had been done in 2005 and 2006. In 2009 and 2017, sampling in the same ponds continued. I investigated the influence of spatial and environmental variables of individual ponds on the species composition of ostracods, copepods and molluscs in specific years and how has the representation of individual species changed among those years. With one exception, I have not observed any new incoming species of copepods and ostracods since 2006; the number of species had in fact decreased. In the case of molluscs, there was a significant exchange of species between individual...
Studie návrhu tůní v k.ú. Veliš
Kociánová, Karolína
The work is focused on the study of suggestion of the water pools in the cadastral area Veliš. Namely a determination of natural conditions in the area, identification of possible features of the water pools, the suitability of location, size, eventually necessary by proposals planting vegetation in the vicinity of the existing water pools and adjacent watercourse. The main objective of this diploma thesis is to propose the most appropriate technical solution of the whole system pools. All results and conclusions comes from field surveys, laboratory analysis and data acquired primarily in 2015/ 2016, whereby we have current information about the area.
Studie návrhu malé vodní nádrže
Petriľáková, Lenka
This bachelor thesis deals with the proposal of revitalization in the cadastral area of Viničné Šumice. It deals with descriptions and calculations of river basin characteristics. Another integral part was the identification of natural conditions, detailed field research, sampling of soil samples together with laboratory tests and their evaluation. After the survey, laboratory analysis and landscape assessment, the most suitable solution to the construction of a smaller number of pools was proposed.
Projekt řešení navrhovaného interakčního prvku v EVL Valtrovický luh v k.ú. Valtrovice
Sochor, Lukáš
The aim of the thesis is to compare the design of large pools in the plan of joint facilities of the KoPÚ municipality of Valtrovice with the proposal of small pools (my proposal) and zero variation. Assessing their positive and negative aspects and evaluating the most optimal proposal. The territory is located in the Natura 2000 system, as EVL Valtrovický luh, so nature conservation interests is very important. Another objective was the creation of a project of the pool, which is enclosed in the form of project documentation. The most suitable solution of the three variants seems to be a variant of small pools, especially in terms of protection of nature and landscape, increasing biodiversity and preserving the original loose tree vegetation. The variation of the large pools was assessed as inappropriate especially from point of view the protection of nature, ecology and technical parameters of the design. Zero variant does not suit the territorial plan and the interests of the municipality that proposes to establish a wetland here.
